The Troutbeck Garden Trail 2015

The Troutbeck Garden Trail 2015

Thankfully the weather was dry for the 2015 Troutbeck Garden Trail, and the sunshine even made an appearance in the afternoon. Instead of writing about the trail, I thought I’d pick 15 of my favourite photos to share with you. They were quick snaps taken using my camera phone, and although I’ve still not learned to avoid covering the lens with the odd stray finger (I’m definitely safer with the SLR), I think the pictures will pass the share test. 🙂

You can read my original blog post about the Troutbeck Garden Trail – which in my opinion is a true Lake District Gem – here.

The tulips were still out because of the cold spring weather we’ve had
The child in me likes to explore the stone paths
Follow the leader…
A garden with a view
These boots weren’t made for walking…
What a backdrop!
View over the village of Troutbeck
Beautiful fresh greenery – and even some sunshine!
Azaleas were in full colour wherever you went
There were lots of climbers too
Good to see the topiary looking so well – some of ours has got the dreaded blight…
That’s not the attitude! Oh go on then…
The spectacular view down to Windermere
A well in the wall at the side of the road
View down to Windermere near the end of the trail

Go on, one more…

Plant a what…?! Nope, can’t find that one in the book.
